Participation and Engagement Working Group

The Participation and Engagement Working Group brings together public and third sector agencies to plan, develop and co-ordinate community participation and engagement activity.

The Participation and Engagement Working Group's remit is to:

  • develop a co-ordinated programme of participation and engagement activity across partners
  • identify opportunities for joint engagement work to maximise links between related issues and reduce costs
  • share expertise and experience across partners; publicise the engagement opportunities available from local partners and feedback published through a regular newsletter
  • oversee the development and working of the Participation and Engagement Network

Membership of the working group

The current membership comprises of:

  • Scottish Fire and Rescue Service
  • Health and Social Care Partnership
  • Third Sector Dumfries and Galloway
  • SWestrans
  • Dumfries and Galloway College
  • Healthcare Improvement Scotland
  • Skills Development Scotland
  • Community Action through Participation and Engagement Network (CAPE)

The working group meetings are workshop format and take place quarterly.
