We work in partnership to empower people to make positive contributions to their communities, by challenging discrimination, promoting greater integration and maximising support for everyone across Dumfries and Galloway.

Remit and membership

We aim to improve co-ordination and integration between public sector organisations and communities of interest for the nine protected characteristics of:

  • age
  • disability
  • gender reassignment
  • marriage and civil partnership
  • pregnancy and maternity
  • race
  • religion or belief
  • sex or gender
  • sexual orientation

We identify opportunities for joint working that improve the efficiency of services in Dumfries and Galloway; and respond effectively to the needs of communities and individuals within these strands.
